TUNE IN: Spotify | Apple Podcasts | Stitcher

“Ugh, I have *nothing* to wear!” *Stares at closet full of clothes* It’s a daily struggle many women are familiar with and a problem Circuit Sales System student Fiona was determined to solve. After leaving her accounting career to pursue her love for fashion, Fiona made it her mission to empower women to feel inspired by the outfits staring back at them each morning.

Thanks to her Circuit, Fiona no longer has to rely on live launches to sell her offer and can enjoy a more steady stream of income. Listen in to Fiona’s interview to discover the positive impact Fiona’s Circuit has had on her conversion rate and how it’s driving her membership sales to new heights!

A Sneak Peek at the Episode

[1:27] Nicki and Kate are joined by Circuit Sales System student Fiona, the CEO and founder of an online styling business called Style Liberation.

[3:27] Fiona previously worked in accounting but after meeting with a stylist herself, she was inspired to pursue something more creative. She launched her styling business in Australia in 2008.

[5:00] Initially, Fiona’s audience was made up of business owners, but now she targets women navigating life transitions such as entering retirement or returning to work after having kids.

[8:12] As well as working with people one-to-one, Fiona has created a new course which runs on a Circuit. Although there is no longer a live component, she is still able to personalize the resources for her clients.

[10:02] This new model has been successful in getting more people to progress into Fiona’s Super Styler membership, which offers clients a more tailored experience.

[11:34] Compared to her last two live launches, Fiona’s Circuit has been doing better in terms of conversion rates (currently sitting at around 3.4%).

[13:38] Unlike live launching, Fiona no longer has to wait six months to see the effect of the changes she makes. Now, she can tweak her Circuit every week to see how it impacts conversions—helping her reach her target of 4-5% sooner.

[15:18] Fiona’s audience had previously mentioned timing as a reason for not purchasing. Using a Circuit means she can deliver content when we people want it instead of having to operate on Fiona’s timeline.

[17:00] Now that Fiona has a more steady stream of income and is not relying on live launches, her focus is on building her community. She plans to grow her membership to 500 people by the end of the year, and eventually reach 1000 members.

Must-Hear Takeaways

As with every episode, we highly encourage you to listen to the entire conversation! But, here are a few of the highlights:

Fiona Keary, founder and CEO of Style Liberation is wearing a blue dress and smiling to the camera.

“We’ve had a live component to our previous rounds of live launching but for CSS, we’re doing it without the live coaching. We’ve got video modules and Q&A type interaction but it is still personalized because we are doing that analysis for people as well and they get very detailed results and resources and tools as part of that too.”

“I love that you mention that because I think that sometimes people think alright when I move from one-to-one or move from a live cohort, then I can’t provide the same level of service, that they’re not going to get the same. But it’s not true—they can still get that personal feeling and getting those Q&A answers is what people want really.” – Fiona & Nicki

“We opened our Circuit at the end of January and it went out to our warm audience and for those that opted in, we had a 7% conversion for that.” – Fiona

“Now, I do have a confession, we did turn [the Circuit] off because we had already committed to a live launch in March. So it’s really interesting, part of the reason that I did the Circuit Sales System is we did a launch last September and we had a 2% conversion rate which is way down on where we had been previously. We had committed to this next launch in March and so it’s really interesting to see that in that launch that we had less in our conversion rate again. So it was higher than last time, we used some of the principles from the Circuit Sales System in terms of that but it was still lower than our organic that we’ve been getting with the Circuit Sales System. So again, we’re getting right back into the Circuit Sales System now because we don’t do live launches now and we’re comparing it as well to the Circuit Sales System and so for us, it’s the way forward.” – Fiona
