The feast or famine merry-go-round of live launching is a wild ride, to say the least.
The excitement of successful launches that hit (or sometimes exceed) goals is often followed by launches where—even if you do exactly the same things—you see much less success. Cue the feelings of uncertainty and crippling disappointment…
For Circuit Sales System Student Victoria, it was time to break free from this exhausting cycle and take a different approach. Here we find out how, in just ONE month after launching her Circuit, her results are having a life-changing impact on her revenue.
The Story Behind “Launch Your Blog and Beyond”
Victoria started blogging nine years ago when her husband had lost his job and they had a very young son.
She dedicated 40 to 60 hours a week working on her blog, and got it to the point where she was making a lot of money from it. (So much so, her husband never had to go back to work!)
After realizing that 90% of her income was coming from 10% of her efforts, she began to develop a system that really honed in on the things that work for bloggers. Victoria opened a beta group with 15 of her blogging friends to see if it worked for them. They did a six week mastermind and the results were incredible.
Following the success of the beta group, Victoria turned that into the system she’s been teaching for seven years called “Launch Your Blog and Beyond”. She has now been able to help thousands of bloggers write about their passions, while making money from home and enjoying more time flexibility.
Lessons Learned from Past Selling Techniques
After Victoria launched her “Launch Your Blog and Beyond” course, she put it into evergreen so that it was always available to buy.
And then, in Victoria’s words, “What I did was very stupid…” (But hey, we ALL make mistakes and learn from them—myself included!)
Victoria was creating two new courses every single year, which she would sell through live launches. (In total, she ended up with a catalog of around 18 courses. Yikes!)
She was essentially taking pieces out of her main course and expanding them into their own little courses so that people could have an easier jumping in point.
But after seven years of continuously putting out new courses, Victoria was (unsurprisingly!) exhausted and launching just twice a year made her realize how risky live launches are as a product launch plan.
But how could she break free from the “feast or famine” cycle she was living in?
Embracing the Power of a Proven Sales System
Victoria didn’t want to just keep putting out these mini courses—and actually, she didn’t *need* to. The “Launch Your Blog and Beyond” course was everything her audience needed.
She soon saw that if you take a little piece, then you only have that little piece—you don’t have the big picture. And so she decided to take everything else off the market completely, and focus solely on her “Launch Your Blog and Beyond” course. The next step? Figuring out how to automate the sales for it.
Transitioning from scattered offerings to her flagship course, Victoria found success by embracing our proven sales system:
“I’m a big believer in letting somebody else show me a proven system. That’s what ‘Launch Your Blog’ is. Yes, you could figure out how to be a successful blogger on your own without ‘Launch Your Blog’, but it’s going to take you years and thousands of hours. And I knew that’s what I was setting myself up for: trial and error, figuring out what worked, all that stuff. The systems for using CSS would have taken me a long time to figure out. And so I was just so thrilled to be able to have that solution and I really attacked it. I signed up for CSS and I launched 30 days later!”
A Year’s Revenue in ONE MONTH!
Thanks to the way that Victoria blogs (and the way that she teaches people to blog!), her personal blog only takes five hours a week to run. And so for a month, she decided to make it her full-time job to get the Circuit up and running. As a result of her commitment, she could start benefiting from her insane results just one month after launching!
In that one month after launching her Circuit, Victoria made what she would have made in an entire year with ALL of her previous products. But the success didn’t end there…
Victoria is making a year’s income not just in one month, but in every month because the Circuit just keeps running. Victoria adds, “Actually, I made another 25% in my second month, going beyond the first month. And I have barely turned on ads. I have ads running so low. And so I think I am only spending $80 a day on ads, which is insane. I’m converting with 12% of the course price for a conversion.”
Before running ads, Victoria put her list through the Circuit when she first launched it but some of them had been on her list for five years and had never even heard about the “Launch Your Blog” course because she was so focused on promoting new courses.
Victoria tells us: “I was expecting to not sell any to these people, but I did sell a good number of them. My ads convert much higher than my list did.”
It does suck that our lists can get stale. But now that Victoria has her Circuit running, as soon as someone lands on her list, they’re going to get her best sales messaging. (And there’s no risk of them being unaware of her course!)
Looking to the Future
Most of us entrepreneurs get into business because we want more freedom and we also want to help people. Unfortunately, people often get to the point where they’re able to help people but without consistent income, it’s extremely difficult to bring someone in to help and make life as a business owner easier.
That’s exactly the spot Victoria found herself stuck in before discovering the CSS: “One of the things that was really difficult about the blogging school was I was super passionate about helping people to learn the system and to find the freedom that so many people who have gone through it have found. But because I wasn’t selling the number that I could have been selling compared to what I’m selling now, I wasn’t actually making enough money to hire anybody to help me with that business.”
It’s so hard to make additional sales in the ways that most people try to do it with tactics like live launching. But now that Victoria is getting that additional income from her Circuit, she can look to hire some admin support while still providing the same level of service and coaching.
As business owners, we’re so used to focusing on time and money. But energy is just as important to consider. There is only so much time and energy that one person has and when you have hundreds of people in a Facebook group where you’re the only one answering questions, it is a lot to bear as an individual.
Through building her Circuit, Victoria has already been able to identify places where it makes sense to take a step back energy-wise: “CSS gave me permission to go ahead and just have access to the Facebook group for a year. We’re going to do the monthly coaching calls and all of that stuff. But then you need to hit it hard in that year and you need to go be a blogger. And I think that was also a big component that was missing because I mean, you can imagine how bloated that gets after seven years of just having everybody that’s ever bought your course in that group asking questions all the time and me being the only one who could answer them!”
We can see (through her seriously impressive results) that Victoria’s hard work has definitely paid off for her. And while you certainly don’t have to implement the Circuit Sales System at the same speed as her, it is a stark reminder that you do need to put the work in to see results and embrace the right mindset, just like Victoria did:
We couldn’t have put it better ourselves!
